The St. Thomas’ team arrived in Managua Sunday, August 6th, making their way to the west coast of the country where they visited with non-profits, businesses and churches in the region Monday through Wednesday. They then returned to Managua Thursday, where they visited an orphanage and worshiped with a local church partner, before returning home on Saturday.
LATEST REPORT FROM
IGLESIA de DIOS de las PROFECIA
This child is not Caucasian. Her light skin and blond hair are the result of malnutrition. Our feeding ministry is literally saving her life.
Jessica Aguirre lives in a simple home with her grandparents and four other children. As you walk into the house, chickens enter and exit as there are no doors to the home. Recently, Jessica visited the hospital because she chopped her thumb off with a machete, cutting a coconut. Every day she walks a few kilometers down the street to eat meals as she has for the last two years. At seven years old, Jessica aspires to be a doctor. Because of the local church in her community, Jessica has access to food every day. The church is the community center in this rural area in the South of Nicaragua. It is at the church where children are fed every day, where girls and moms learn life skills, and where everyone is welcome to hear about Jesus.

Dear Church Partners,
It is an honor to share our semi-annual ministry update with you today. All of the amazing things happening for the children in Nicaragua are thanks to God and His movement through your church.
We are so thankful for all that we report to you and for the important role you play in this making these outcomes possible for 20,000 vulnerable and orphaned children in Nicaragua.
We hope you enjoy the update. May the Lord continue to bless your church and your lives for all you do for His children.
