THE 5 SACRIFICES OF CHRIST - LENT 2018
For centuries, Christians have approached the weeks leading up to Easter as a time to focus on their need for God. We have called this time "Lent". While Lent rightfully reaches crescendo with Jesus's resurrection, a large amount of attention should be given to what accomplishes this: The Cross. It is in the Cross where all of our needs have been met by Christ.
It's easy for us to see the Cross in isolation and reduce it's meaning down to "forgiveness of sins". Granted, that is GREAT news, but it is only one dimension of what the Cross accomplishes for us sinners. Four others are outlined and foreshadowed in the Old Testament. In order to explore these mutually beneficial dimensions, we will walk through these Old Testament sacrifices to see how Christ's death gives us more than we could imagine.
THE BOOK OF COLOSSIANS | MATURE IN CHRIST - FALL 2017
Lets be honest. There are times when, confronted with the multiple voices in and outside Christianity, we wonder if we have the full truth: "How do I know if what I believe is right?" "What if I only have part of the truth?" "How can I live the right way if I don't know what is right?" "How can I reach maturity in my faith if I don't know what that looks like?" Our guide is Paul's Letter to the Colossians. Join us as we look at what it means to be truly "Mature in Christ"!
THE BOOK OF ACTS | AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST - SUMMER 2017
We are called to be “ambassadors of Christ’s forgiving love where we live, work, play, and learn.” This means it’s our joy to go out and tell those in our lives about how Jesus has reconciled us back to God by His life, death, and resurrection.
This series will help us answer questions such as, “How do I become an Ambassador?”
THE 40 DAYS | FROM RESURRECTION TO ASCENSION - SPRING 2017
For the remainder of the Spring, we will be walking through the days between Jesus’ resurrection and his ascension into heaven. We often forget that Jesus spent 40 days with his disciples before leaving the earth. What a fascinating side of Jesus we rarely focus on.
